Medium Format & Film Simulations
To tell a story with sincerity, you need images that breathe truth, softness and emotion. That’s why—after working with Pentax and then Canon—I chose to use two Fujifilm bodies, including a medium format GFX 50S. Their philosophy suits me perfectly: film simulations that come remarkably close to the look of analog film, while offering the reliability, flexibility and responsiveness of digital.
This combination allows me to create natural, organic, timeless images — photographs that stand the test of time without losing their strength. Medium format brings incomparable depth: smoother transitions, more organic texture, richer colors, and subtle dimensionality in skin tones and details.
Legendary Mamiya Optics
Paired with iconic Mamiya lenses, medium format delivers a high‑end rendering that elevates portraits and gives every scene a cinematic dimension. Among my lenses, I use the legendary Mamiya 80mm f/1.9 N series, the brightest medium‑format film lens ever made. Nicknamed “The Dark Knight” for its use in Christopher Nolan’s IMAX films, it produces a truly unique analog look: deep bokeh, a rare visual signature, and a poetic character you won’t find in any modern lens.
This equipment is more than a set of tools — it’s a way of seeing, feeling, and translating your story with an aesthetic that is authentic, elegant and profoundly human.
WHY I'M PASSIONATE ABOUT WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
My Background
My journey in photography began in 1997, guided by an internationally renowned mentor — a reportage photographer working for GEO, Nature and National Geographic. Under his guidance, I discovered the discipline of observation, the patience required in the field, and the power of an image that tells something true. I started with black‑and‑white analog photography: film, darkroom development, developer and fixer baths, baryta paper, and the discovery of medium‑format film. It was a school of rigor and sensitivity that profoundly shaped the way I work and the way I see the world.
Over the years, I explored many different fields: reportage, portraiture, fashion, institutional visuals for major brands (Airbus, Mercedes, Renault, Coca-Cola), as well as product photography. These experiences refined my eye, enriched my creative palette, and deepened my understanding of emotions, gestures and fleeting moments.
But wedding photography is what moves me most deeply. Every couple carries a unique story, a singular energy, a truth that belongs only to them. I love capturing these narratives with authenticity, without artifice, letting life unfold naturally so I can seize its beauty.

My approach is entirely centered on you. I believe a photograph only has value if it tells something true — a gesture, an emotion, a moment of genuine connection. To achieve this, I create a calm and relaxed atmosphere where you can simply be yourselves, without forced poses or artifice.
A lifelong traveler, I have spent years photographing the world like a reporter: observing, feeling, waiting for the right moment. Destination wedding photography became a natural extension of this passion. It allows me to bring together what I love most: the spontaneity of reportage, the beauty of portraiture, and the emotional depth of weddings. Traveling to accompany you, discovering your venue, understanding its energy, capturing its light… all of this fuels my creativity and gives your images a unique dimension.
